During the International Forum on Innovation and Emerging Industries Development meeting on September 16, He Huawu, the vice-director of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, announced plans for the maglev lines construction in Dongguan.
Maglev lines allow trains to reach speeds up to 600 kilometers per hour, making transportation faster and more convenient. The maglev lines will connect cities in the Pearl River Delta such as Shenzhen, Dongguan and Guangzhou to cities in other parts of China such as Shanghai and Hangzhou.
After project completion, it will only take 10 minutes to arrive in Guangzhou and Shenzhen from Dongguan. These tracks will strengthen connections between distant cities and the bonds between manufacturing and innovation areas.
