From Dongguan to Europe By Train

South China’s first China Post Special Train, bound for Vilnius, Lithuania, left Dongguan Shilong Railway Station on May 9, carrying 41 containers with an estimated combined 260 tons of 3C masks, clothing, footwear and hardware.

This is the first freight train to travel from Dongguan to Europe and stems from restricted air transportation during COVID-19.

The Dongguan city government in collaboration with Huangpu Customs, Dongguan Customs, China Railway Corporation, Sino-Trains and the China Post Group Corporation initiated a model of goods collection and distribution to cope with the current impact and to promote cross-border logistics. Most of the goods were made in Dongguan.
