When you pass DG Mall, the colossal building under construction beside it might catch your attention and you might wonder what this tower is for. The tower is called T2, a grade A office building, which reached its maximum height of 423 meters in July and became a new landmark in Dongguan. It is officially the tallest building in Dongguan and the sixth tallest in the Greater Bay Area.
It is predicted that T2 will be finished by May 2020. There will be 85 floors with a total area of 200,000 square-meters. On the top floor, there will be a high-end club and the 84th floor will have an observatory allowing visitors to enjoy the landscape of Dongguan.
To ensure visitors don’t need to wait for a long time, the tower is equipped with 55 imported Mitsubishi elevators, with a speed of 10 meters per second, which means it will only take 40 seconds to arrive at the top. The outer glass walls around the building are built with 11,000 windows allowing an indoor natural light rate of 91.5 percent.
We are excited to visit the tallest building in the city next year to see what’s inside. How about you?
