Rhythm Is A Dancer: Muzika Studios

Sassy, smooth, and sensual–these are but some of the words that come to mind once one enters this establishment. It’s all in the vibe, energy, décor, color, music and–wait for it–aroma. Yes, Muzika brings some of the sweetest aromas, being one of the best local bars for water pipe fans.

Shisha? In Dongguan? Yep! Dongcheng’s Walking Street certainly presents quite a few intriguing places, yet this one has been a consistent citadel of charm from the day it opened its doors. A quaint space offering diversity, hospitality and a lot of fun. And with its monthly events and parties, it has become a cool hangout spot for friends to dance, drink and mingle. The menu offers cocktails, shots, beers and wine, all of which are very reasonably priced. But to make things more interesting, ask at the bar for the Muzika special.

You may be even further surprised to learn that there is a dance studio upstairs. It’s true–a floor designed for individuals who wish to take the time to learn the art of dance, in group or private sessions. Dance instructor Komit is also the owner, whom along with his wife and a group of dance instructors from around the world teach Salsa, Bachata, Merenge, Flamenco, Cha Cha and Hip-Hop.

“It’s a home for all of us, our friends and the locals,” Komit told me, sporting a knowing, friendly smile, “after we’ve finished dancing upstairs, we all come down to relax and hang out and the shisha brings it all together. It feels like family all the time. Many have also contributed to the bar simply because they’ve fallen in love with it and the vibe–it’s very special.”

So, in a nutshell: Here you’ll get a night out with your friends or dance partner where you can feel at home whilst enjoying the party. What could be better?
