As a key step forward for the campaign of nurturing high-quality and high-skill talent on an international background, the Dongguan government has fostered an agreement signed between the Universal College of Learning (UCOL) in New Zealand and the School of Electronics and Technology of Dongguan (SETDG) on July 1. SETDG is a senior vocational institute located in Tangxia with about 7,000 students. A specialized coursework will be created for Chinese students to receive a diploma or bachelor of Applied Management and Information and Communications Technology that will be recognized by both schools. The curriculum will be designed and mostly taught by teachers from UCOL. During the first year, students will study at SETDG and prepare all required English language skills. Then they will fly to New Zealand to finish the rest of the studies and obtain the degree.
