3RD SHENZHEN WHITE COLLAR FIGHT NIGHT

Saturday, December 9 saw White Collar Fight Night (WCFN) host its third event in Shenzhen and fifth in China. The adrenaline-pumped evening was hosted at the immaculate Sheraton Grand Ballroom in Futian and saw almost 700 guests in attendance.

With nine white collar bouts, a charity auction and a delectable four-course menu with perfectly matched wines, the evening was a stunning success.

An impressive 60,000 RMB was raised for One Foundation with even more being collected after the event. The foundation specifically targets projects for childcare and disaster relief management.

The first match began between Lola and Lynn, and admirably, Lynn had agreed to take part just 12 days prior. So with little time to train, she was faced with a tough challenge as Lola had prepared physically for much longer. Lola took the trophy but Lynn certainly put up an excellent fight.

Dongguan’s Belgian boxer Steven Dejager was fourth to fight, with his opponent, Shark. Despite appearing equal in size and shape, Shark had the edge. Steven kept his defense for a while but as soon as Shark had the chance, he ended the match with a swift punch to the face.

Complete Fitness’ Alan Harper was against rival Clayton for the penultimate fight. It was an intense three rounds as they both maintained skill and stamina, dodging punches and giving as good as they got. The third round saw Alan take a punch to the nose as his energy levels began to drop.

Attending the event with a group of Dongguaners meant that Steven and Alan had support and love from all of us the whole way through the night. There was a fantastic vibe about seeing every competitor with their network of support whether they won or lost. It was also a pleasure to see the likes of CraftyMarketing and ShenzhenParty at the media table.

Founder of WCFN John Graham, commented: “Yet again the WCFN proved a great success; nobody was injured and everybody that took part or attended had a great time!”
