DG Tourist Spots Downgraded

In the Chinese tourism market, scenic spots are graded with different titles, from AA up to AAAAA. This is done to help tourists quickly identify the quality of the local services. As it turns out, some of these sites don’t earn awards very well. On December 5, the China National Tourism Administration released a report of crackdowns and secret inspections at 367 spots around the country, reportedly the strictest one in history. The New South China Mall’s Amazing World, a former AAAA tourist attraction, was removed from the list, due to bad dining experiences. The Dongguan Xiangshi Zoo in Liaobu was severely warned because only some facilities are open and unclear park signs confuse guests.
